Prerequisites for ABT certificate*: Facials, reflexology, aromatherapy, acupuncture, massage, reiki, nursing, dentistry, other relevant qualifications.

About the Course

The re:lax Gua Sha, Facial Cupping and Acupressure course is a BABTAC and ABT accredited course where we teach you how to safely and effectively use the re:lax gua sha, facial cups, mushrooms, rollers and an acupressure tool.

This one of a kind course has been designed by Katie, Senior Facialist and Founder of relax Skin School, combining her years of experience working with tools, knowledge of cosmetic acupressure and desire to achieve high performance results for her clients. We are so excited to share this unique modality that we know your clients will love!

If you have no experience working with tools or you are looking to build on existing skills in gua sha, facial cupping or acupressure, this course is perfect for you.

What to expect

This is an accredited course and will teach you how to build on your existing skills, perform our of our most popular facials.

You will learn how to safely and effectively use the re:lax gua sha, facial cups, mushrooms, roller and acupressure tools which are available to purchase wholesale and retail to your clients.

Theory: Online (2-3 hours)

This must be completed prior to the start of the course and it covers the following:

• The history

• Anatomy and physiology

• Contraindications

• Health and safety

• Preparing your treatment space

• Consultation, communication and client Care

• Underpinning knowledge and best practice quiz

Practical: 3 days in person using a combination of gua sha, facial cupping, warm and cold mushrooms, rollers and the acupressure tool

• Preparing your clients skin

• Skin analysis

• Lymphatic stimulation and warm up

• Muscular release

• Lifting and promoting collagen production

• Toning, tightening and promoting elastin production

• Focused work on cystic acne, scarring, pigmentation, rosacea, lines, TMJ and tension headaches

• Acupressure to support the body as a whole

• Lymphatic drainage and detoxification

• Client care and feedback

• At home support and retail

• Self promotion and growing your client base

With this course, you also receive videos of every element of the practical treatment as well as videos on self promotion and growing your client base.
